VoiSecs on medication packagesOur complex society can make dyslexia a much bigger problem than need be. The written word seems to be everywhere. But technology can help and not just complicate.

VoiSec is a talking label with no text. So simple that even people who hate gadgets love VoiSec.

VoiSec is not your average digital recorder. It is a talking equivalent to the popular yellow sticky notes. Like these, VoiSec is ideal for short notes and fastens easily almost anywhere. (See Accessories). Use the VoiSec Singlemessage when you want to have only one message in a talking button. Use the VoiSec Multimessage when you want to add one recording after another, until the one-minute memory is full.

A lot of people have a hard time with written information. About 10% of all Europeans have dyslexia. This means a big part of the labor force could benefit from a little less text at work. Not less information, just less text.

Information does not serve its purpose if people can’t understand. It becomes an obstacle.

People with dyslexia are over-represented among professionals such as architects, cooks and mechanics. Use VoiSecs to put quick notes on drawings (more women’s restrooms) at the architects’ office.

VoiSec is robust and loud enough to use in restaurant kitchens. Record the key points of a new recipe and attach a VoiSec where the recipe will be prepared so you don’t have to stop work to check a recipe card or cookbook.

VoiSec can be used over and over. Just change the batteries every 400 messages or so.

Stick a VoiSec on a package. Most people have trouble understanding medication labels. Imagine a VoiSec mounted on a bottle of pills saying “take two at breakfast”. What a help!

Use a whiteboard and VoiSecs with magnets to organize ideas. Now you can both see and listen to your ideas.

People with dyslexia are often very creative – take for instance da Vinci, Einstein, Edison and H.C. Andersen. Many people use their creativity to hide their difficulties with text. VoiSec makes it a little easier to live with dyslexia. We hope it will help you use your creativity more…creatively!

VoiSec makes it easier to learn new things. Attach a written word to a VoiSec that says the same word. Or use a picture. You can even make a picture book that “reads itself out loud”.

Take a look at the tips and tricks page for more ideas.
